A flexible, translucent, or radiopaque medical-grade silicone elastomer sheeting material designed for applications requiring biocompatibility. Also available with polyester tricot reinforcement. Easily cut to modify shape, this silicone sheeting is highly permeable to gases and can be autoclaved without changing consistency, softness or any of its inherent properties.
The silicone sheeting can be cleaned and sterilized (radiation, steam or ETO). Made from USP Class VI platinum cured, high tear strength silicone, PharmElast ™ may be bonded to itself or synthetics with biologically compatible adhesives. Sheeting is packaged in resealable, nonsterile plastic and sold as either a 6-by-8-inch size or a 12-by-12-inch sheet.
